Drive In, Zoo, and some other funny stuff! :)

We went to the drive in awhile back and Sky loved it until about half way through, she ended up falling asleep on Daddy. It didn't help that we had to park in the way way back and the screen was far away and it was FREEZING! We saw Monster's University and I loved it. I think Sky loved it too considering its all she would talk about. I think at some point this summer we might bring out our small TV and DVD player and watch a movie in the backyard :) This way when she gets ornery we can just come inside!

We also went to the Hogle Zoo and even though it's half torn up it was still a lot of fun! Sky loved the elephants, rhinos, and giraffes! We watched an elephant show and it was cool to see them up close.  We also saw the gorillas and the male charged at the window, scared Sky for a minute but then she couldn't wait for him to do it again! The zoo is always a really good time! They also had a bunch of Lego displays that we thought were pretty cool!

We also went to the Kangaroo Zoo which is a place that has a ton of bouncy houses and slides! It was her second time there and she LOVES it. Of course Mommy had to go on every single one with her, it was fun! One embarrassing thing did happen though :( Karson always says "That's mine!" and will try to take something from her and now she is very good at saying that about everything and to everyone. There was a pregnant lady sitting at a table and as we were walking by her Sky yelled "That's mine!" and pointed to the nearest slide! I sure hope I can break her of that habit before day care starts in a month and a half! Otherwise we are in trouble!!

Sorry this blog is turning out to be so long, I just can't seem to find time since I have started going back to work. Anyway, Sky has been pretending to cook a lot these days. The other night Karson and I were sitting in the family room and Sky comes running in, goes up to Karson and says " Do you want a cheeseburger with ketchup and cheese on it?" and then turns to me and says "Mommy want a salad?" "OK, OK, I will go make them." Then she would run out of the room and put something in the microwave and pretend to cook it. She did that about 10 times, it was so funny! She has these thick puzzles of animals and numbers, she loves to take them and put them under the couch and say "I put them in the oven, they are cookin'!" She'd wait a few minutes and then come up and give you one and tell you to eat the cookie! I'm sure glad that she has a good imagination! We should probably invest in a play kitchen for her!

We have been helping Grandpa Jensen weed the garden and I always take Sky with me.  The first time we went her Grandma Storey was always telling her to not step on the green, only the brown. Now every time we go she tells us to not step on the green only the brown and that we have to be careful! At times when you are weeding you are required to bend over or even sit down, every time someone sat down Sky would yell "Are you OK Grandma?, Are you OK?" We'll answer yes and she'd say OK. Yesterday the sprinklers came on in the back yard and we all got stuck in the garden for a little while and Sky was very upset about that. She looked at her Grandma Storey and said "It's raining cats and dogs!" Haha, she must have heard me say that the other day, I can't believe how little kids pick things up when you don't even realize they are listening.  She has also been talking about birthdays! She will tell Karson and I happy birthday all the time, we tried to explain to her that its not our birthdays but it doesn't matter. When we were in the garden she was telling Grandma that we are going to have a birthday party with cake and ice cream. Where she comes up with that I have no idea! LOL, KIDS!

We went to the big pool and she loves the big slide! Of course she has to go with me but we probably went a good 10 times or more! I really want to take her to a water slide park! She loves to swim. We have  a 10 foot by 6 foot pool in our back yard and she loves to go in it!

Sky has been very good with her little brother! She loves him so much and is very good to look out for him and watch him while I'm out of the room. Today I hear "Arween, Arween he spit up! He spit up!" Yes at times she calls us by our first names! Its the funniest thing! She loves to sing to Kash. She will sing the ABCs, Monkey in a tree, and Twinkle Twinkle. Her ABCs are the best however, at the end, instead of singing now I know my ABCs, she sings "no more ABCs", it's so cute! Its so amazing to see the connection my kids have already! Kash will smile at Sky whenever he sees her, it's so precious to see.

Still no luck with potty training or getting her to sleep in her own bed but we are working on that! Its a lot more challenging then I ever thought! At least we know what not to do with Kash! He is sleeping in his crib anywhere from 8-10 PM to 8-9 AM without waking up! I'm lucky to have kids that like to sleep, makes this Mommy very happy when she gets to sleep in!

Kash is the cutest little boy ever! I can't get enough of him.  He is getting so big, so fast. I can't believe he's almost 4 months in a couple of weeks! He's changing every day! He loves to talk and smile, he has the biggest toothless smile ever! He got blessed last Sunday and it went great! It was fun to have the family to our house for the occasion! One thing with Kash that I can't quite figure out how to handle or fix is that whenever I leave the house and he is with Karson, he screams for hours! Any one reading this have any pointers? Please help! I work 3 days a week and lately they are in a row and I feel so bad for Karson! Yesterday we went to garden as you read earlier and I left Kash with Kars, he screamed the entire time I was gone. I get home and he's fine! He can't have separation anxiety this little can he? Other than that he's a really good baby and I couldn't be a luckier Mom to have the kids I do!

I don't think I have blogged this picture but I can't believe how much alike Kash looks like Karson. Kash is on the Left and Karson is the Right, both 2 months old!

Summer time fun!

We moved to a house with a backyard! It's a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood and we have a fenced in backyard! We have been playing outside a lot already this summer, its so nice to not have to worry about Sky running into the street. We have neighbors on both sides of us and the neighbors on one side have a grill that they cover with a black tarp. Every time we come out side Sky yells "Look! Its a rhino and he's eating the garbage!"  She has talked about rhinos and elephants ever since we went to the zoo!  What a silly kid!!

Its been pretty hot this summer so far and we have been eating a lot of otter pops. Whenever Sky wants one she'll ask for a "bicycle please". I am still trying to get her to say popsicle but its hilarious to hear her ask for a bicycle!

We were eating outside today and Sky was eating chocolate bunnies and macaroni and cheese. I guess she thought they would taste good together! YUCK! I guess as long as she's eating something!

Kash also loves to be outside! He's always so peaceful while we are out here. Some days the only thing to get him to quit screaming is to come outside. I am sure glad we don't have 3 flights of stairs anymore!

First time she rode in one of these and she LOVED it!

Along with the nice backyard we get steps with no railings. Poor Sky fell off the top and hit her head on the cement! She was a trooper though, got a pretty good goose egg on her head but we took her to the doctor and she checked out just fine. Here is some pics of her playing in the waiting area. She hasn't been to the DR for her in quite some time and I was so hoping she was over the screaming bloody murder the second the nurse or DR touched her. I was so wrong, she screamed the whole time! I sure hope Kash isn't like that!

We are going to go to the drive inn movie tonight and watch Monsters University! I'm so excited and so is Sky. She keeps saying "We are going to the drive inns and watch monsters!" I hope she sits through the whole thing and is good! LOL! Pics of tonight's events coming soon!

While Mommy is at work!

As most of you know I have went back to work and apparently I miss a ton of funny things while I'm gone. Unfortunately due to moving I can't remember a lot of them and didn't get blog them right away. Here are a couple of things that I do remember.

Karson had laid Kash down on the couch and Sky laid above him and kept saying "Big girl, big boy. Big girl, big boy" over and over.

We moved into this house and one of my friends came over and killed a huge spider that looked like a black widow so we had someone come spray. We have a crawl space under the house and the entrance is in our closet in the hall way. The guy went in the crawl space to spray and Sky ran by him and said "He's in the floor!"

Karson will often let Sky look at pictures of random things like frogs, rhinos, caterpillars, and monkeys on his phone through Google. I get home tonight and he looks at me and says I swear this happened! I was thinking oh great Sky was looking at pics and found something gross. Well what she did was this.......... She was looking at pics of monkeys and showed Karson a pic of a monkey with a huge nose. She would say "he has a big nose" then start laughing. Finally she gave Karson's phone back and had some how set the wallpaper to this...

She would look at it and laugh and say that's funny! I laughed so hard when I saw that pic and at the fact that she put it as his wallpaper! What a smart girl! LOL!!! Still can't believe it but I don't think that Karson even knows how to set a pic from online as his wallpaper, so its great that she actually did it!

She has done a lot more funny things but I can't remember them all. Now that we have everything set up and our internet back on I will be better at blogging more! I love my kids so much! Can't wait until Kash can start talking! Can't wait to hear what they talk about together!

Kashus

Just a quick note about Kash. He has so much personality these days! He is now smiling at mom and dad, even big sis can make him smile. My favorite thing to do with him right now is talking to him! He will sit and coo and oooh at you for 5 to 10 mins at a time! Its so dang cute! I absolutely love the sound of him talking, there is nothing sweeter!

Random Pics

Here is a couple of pics of Kash, I can't believe he is already 2 months old! I haven't taken the 2 month pic yet but will get it up soon :)

I can't enough of this face!! He is so precious!!!

This pic is of Kash on the left and Karson on the right, both 2 months old. Crazy how much alike they are!! Both my kids defiantly look like their daddy!

Here's a couple of pics of Sky. She loves to lay in her baby brother's bath tub, too bad she hated it when it was hers :)  She also loves laying in her old car seat. One day I hear her laughing so hard and I figured she was messing around with Kash so I hurried to find her and that's what I found! She also loves to play with the toys at the doctor's but screams the whole entire time we are in the room talking to the doctor! STINKER! The bottom right is just one of her smiling and watching TV, probably fairies!

Memorial Day

Sorry I am way late, we have been extremely busy moving and I put blogging on the back burner. We are all moved in now so I am going to try and catch up!

On Memorial Day we went to Karson's parents and had a BBQ. It was a lot of fun! We had a small pool out and the Skylee and Ammon (Skylee's cousin) got to swim for a bit. Karson's mom had filled the pool that morning and left it in the sun to warm the water. Unfortunately the water was still cold when we got there. Karson had put buckets of hot water from in the house into the pool due to the fact that Sky was shivering from being so cold but wouldn't get out of the pool! Skylee loves to swim, she was so excited to get her "swimming soup" on!  It was a lot of fun to hang out with the family!

Monkey

When Sky had her surgery last year we got her this monkey from the gift shop at the hospital. It has since become her most favorite toy. She has to sleep with it, bring it to the store, grandma's, to play in the sprinklers, pretty much everywhere but the bath tub. She is so sweet with it, tries to feed it, puts it in the baby's swing, gives it rides in her wagon or the back of her bike. The reason why I'm posting this is because lately she has been letting Kashus hold monkey when he is upset. It's the cutest thing I have ever seen. He will start crying and Sky will go put monkey by his head or on his tummy so he can see the monkey and she'll say, "look monkey is on his tummy" and "here baby Kashus". So nice of her to share her most prized possession with her little brother! Such a proud Mommy!
