Potty Trained and other stuff

Skylee is finally potty trained! It took awhile but we finally got it done. She hasn't had an accident in over a week. We don't even tell her to go, half the time she just goes on her own! She is getting so big, so fast!  She'll be sitting there and all of a sudden say "I think I better go potty!" Then runs to the bathroom, pees, and insists on dumping the pee in the toilet herself. So messy but yet such a proud Mommy!

Lately she has become really good at pretending! She will walk around the house pretending to talk on the phone. All I'll hear is "Hi, I love you too. Ok, see you later, goodbye, love you." At times she'll be acting like she's talking to Mickey Mouse or Daisy or Minnie. Its so funny! We had gotten her a little play kitchen and she loves to "cook". We got her some play food to go with it and she'll play with it for hours. Today she made me soup and let me tell you, it was the best soup I have ever had :)  She loves to talk these days, this morning she woke up and was telling me all about pigs. She said "The mommy pig rolls in the mud, then takes a bath and shakes all the water off. (As she is shaking herself) Then she proceeds to tell me all about the baby pigs. "Baby pigs drink milk from a bottle, they don't eat food, only milk. I love pigs!!" I can listen to her talk for hours.

Kash and Skylee are so fun to watch. She is always trying to tickle him and make him laugh. He is laughing more and more everyday, the sweetest sound in the world!! She tries to hold him which is a funny site due to the fact that he looks like he is half her size. She looks so tiny next to him :) I don't have a good pic of it right now but promise I will post one soon. I can't believe how big Kash is getting, he will be 5 months soon! Where does the time go?? Like I mentioned earlier, he is laughing all the time, is always cooing and trying to talk. He is so aware of his surrounding and is always paying attention to every little detail. He loves this lion that used to be Sky's and will lay and play with it for hours. He also love the little gym thing that has animals hanging down where he can reach them. I think that he will be sitting up soon, he is always trying to sit up, loves to watch people.

Formula update: We had to switch formulas once again. He is now on Alimentum.  Its only been a few days so we will see how it goes, hopefully this is the one that will work!

Sky thought it was funny to put her bunny ears on Kash!

He's a little too small for it still but sure looks cute sitting in it!

Kashus, Sky, Weight loss

Kashus

Kashus is already 4 months old, I can't believe time has gone by so fast!! He is so cute these days, so much personality is showing! His favorite song that I sing to him is Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes. EVERYTIME I sing that song he is all smiles and will occasionally give me a laugh, he loves when we do the actions! He is such a Mommy's boy, I can get a smile out of him almost every time I talk to him.  He is laughing more and more everyday. He is now eating baby oatmeal and pears. He is doing so good and gets excited when we give him the pears. He pays attention to every thing. He has the biggest, bluest eyes and is always taking every thing in. He is now over 13 lbs, growing more and more every day. He sleeps in his crib from about 8-9 til 6 in the morning without getting up. We have been blessed with babies that sleep, Sky started sleeping through the night at an early age as well.

Sky

Sky is still the best big sister to Kash! You can just see the love between them. She is always singing to him, tickling him, talking to him, hugging him, kissing him. He is always smiling at her, its so cute to watch them interact.

"Look Mom, our heads are together"

Sky had to put her bunny ears on Kash after she had been wearing them!

Her and I got on this kick of going to the photo booths where you can pose a couple of times and it prints your pics out in strips. She had so much fun we did some on our own, here's a few!!

Family

My family had come to visit and see Kash for the first time. We did a couple of fun things... We went to the Union Station museum and the Hill Aerospace museum. My Grandpa had come and it was so nice to see him! I hadn't seen him since the summer of 2009! Its been awhile for me and he's never met either of my kids! It was a very good time!! Here are some pics!

Sky has been pretty good all summer! She started really using the potty today! She went about 4 times for Dad :) I'm hoping we can keep this up and she can be potty trained by the end of the week!! Wish us luck! She says so many funny things these days, I really need to blog more so that I can remember what she says. Its been so long and this post is getting extremely long the way it is!!! Sorry guys! I promise I will try to post more often so your not reading for an hour ;)

Any way she is obsessed with Monster's Inc. Every time someone is pretending to sleep she roars at you as loud as she can to scare you awake. LOL! We just got her a fake kitchen with fake food and she loves playing with it. She loves putting things in the "microwave"!  She is getting so big! Will be 3 in 4 months!!!

Me

I haven't blogged about myself on here but I decided I should write a little bit about my weight loss. I have been trying very hard for the last month or so. When I had Kash I was 182 and now I am 147! Its been a journey. I have been counting calories, just recently started running and lifting weights. I am currently doing a No Junk Food Challenge for 21 days. Today is the first day that I have started this challenge. It consists of No candy, No chocolate, No white bread, No donuts, cookies, pastries, No peanut butter, nutella, or other naughty spreads, No ice cream, No fast food, and No soda. Doesn't seem that bad considering I haven't eaten any of this for the last month but of course I was tempted today at work. They had cheeseburgers for dinner which is my favorite meal there. I kept thinking to myself I'll just eat half, but then the bun is white bread so I stuck to my guns and ate my Lean Cuisine! It was really good so I'm glad that I didn't give in!! One of my best friends, one of the only people I really talk to is also doing the challenge with me along with my husband! I have high hopes that with the support we can give to each other we will be able to get through the 21 days :) Wish us luck and feel free to join in with us!! ITS A CHALLENGE!!!

Drive In, Zoo, and some other funny stuff! :)

We went to the drive in awhile back and Sky loved it until about half way through, she ended up falling asleep on Daddy. It didn't help that we had to park in the way way back and the screen was far away and it was FREEZING! We saw Monster's University and I loved it. I think Sky loved it too considering its all she would talk about. I think at some point this summer we might bring out our small TV and DVD player and watch a movie in the backyard :) This way when she gets ornery we can just come inside!

We also went to the Hogle Zoo and even though it's half torn up it was still a lot of fun! Sky loved the elephants, rhinos, and giraffes! We watched an elephant show and it was cool to see them up close.  We also saw the gorillas and the male charged at the window, scared Sky for a minute but then she couldn't wait for him to do it again! The zoo is always a really good time! They also had a bunch of Lego displays that we thought were pretty cool!

We also went to the Kangaroo Zoo which is a place that has a ton of bouncy houses and slides! It was her second time there and she LOVES it. Of course Mommy had to go on every single one with her, it was fun! One embarrassing thing did happen though :( Karson always says "That's mine!" and will try to take something from her and now she is very good at saying that about everything and to everyone. There was a pregnant lady sitting at a table and as we were walking by her Sky yelled "That's mine!" and pointed to the nearest slide! I sure hope I can break her of that habit before day care starts in a month and a half! Otherwise we are in trouble!!

Sorry this blog is turning out to be so long, I just can't seem to find time since I have started going back to work. Anyway, Sky has been pretending to cook a lot these days. The other night Karson and I were sitting in the family room and Sky comes running in, goes up to Karson and says " Do you want a cheeseburger with ketchup and cheese on it?" and then turns to me and says "Mommy want a salad?" "OK, OK, I will go make them." Then she would run out of the room and put something in the microwave and pretend to cook it. She did that about 10 times, it was so funny! She has these thick puzzles of animals and numbers, she loves to take them and put them under the couch and say "I put them in the oven, they are cookin'!" She'd wait a few minutes and then come up and give you one and tell you to eat the cookie! I'm sure glad that she has a good imagination! We should probably invest in a play kitchen for her!

We have been helping Grandpa Jensen weed the garden and I always take Sky with me.  The first time we went her Grandma Storey was always telling her to not step on the green, only the brown. Now every time we go she tells us to not step on the green only the brown and that we have to be careful! At times when you are weeding you are required to bend over or even sit down, every time someone sat down Sky would yell "Are you OK Grandma?, Are you OK?" We'll answer yes and she'd say OK. Yesterday the sprinklers came on in the back yard and we all got stuck in the garden for a little while and Sky was very upset about that. She looked at her Grandma Storey and said "It's raining cats and dogs!" Haha, she must have heard me say that the other day, I can't believe how little kids pick things up when you don't even realize they are listening.  She has also been talking about birthdays! She will tell Karson and I happy birthday all the time, we tried to explain to her that its not our birthdays but it doesn't matter. When we were in the garden she was telling Grandma that we are going to have a birthday party with cake and ice cream. Where she comes up with that I have no idea! LOL, KIDS!

We went to the big pool and she loves the big slide! Of course she has to go with me but we probably went a good 10 times or more! I really want to take her to a water slide park! She loves to swim. We have  a 10 foot by 6 foot pool in our back yard and she loves to go in it!

Sky has been very good with her little brother! She loves him so much and is very good to look out for him and watch him while I'm out of the room. Today I hear "Arween, Arween he spit up! He spit up!" Yes at times she calls us by our first names! Its the funniest thing! She loves to sing to Kash. She will sing the ABCs, Monkey in a tree, and Twinkle Twinkle. Her ABCs are the best however, at the end, instead of singing now I know my ABCs, she sings "no more ABCs", it's so cute! Its so amazing to see the connection my kids have already! Kash will smile at Sky whenever he sees her, it's so precious to see.

Still no luck with potty training or getting her to sleep in her own bed but we are working on that! Its a lot more challenging then I ever thought! At least we know what not to do with Kash! He is sleeping in his crib anywhere from 8-10 PM to 8-9 AM without waking up! I'm lucky to have kids that like to sleep, makes this Mommy very happy when she gets to sleep in!

Kash is the cutest little boy ever! I can't get enough of him.  He is getting so big, so fast. I can't believe he's almost 4 months in a couple of weeks! He's changing every day! He loves to talk and smile, he has the biggest toothless smile ever! He got blessed last Sunday and it went great! It was fun to have the family to our house for the occasion! One thing with Kash that I can't quite figure out how to handle or fix is that whenever I leave the house and he is with Karson, he screams for hours! Any one reading this have any pointers? Please help! I work 3 days a week and lately they are in a row and I feel so bad for Karson! Yesterday we went to garden as you read earlier and I left Kash with Kars, he screamed the entire time I was gone. I get home and he's fine! He can't have separation anxiety this little can he? Other than that he's a really good baby and I couldn't be a luckier Mom to have the kids I do!

I don't think I have blogged this picture but I can't believe how much alike Kash looks like Karson. Kash is on the Left and Karson is the Right, both 2 months old!
